Using a laptop for monitoring/analyzing

Hi

I have a spare laptop with an external audio interface that I plan to use for audio analysis (spectrum analyzer, Stereo Tools etc.). This will alleviate the frequent need to open master channel, loading pluings etc. With this setup I will just need to solo a track and turn my head. I am a lazy bastard

I don’t want to run a second copy of Ableton on my laptop for various reasons, so I’m looking for a simple VST host that will allow me to quickly load up a project containing my most commonly used tools/plugins for audio analysis. I have looked at LiveProfessor, but that is still very beta and crashes all the time. Wavosaur could maybe be another cheap option. Any suggestions?
