Anyone using VGA to Component… from their 'puter to their telly?
Thinking it would be a cheap way ( €8 for a 5m Cable) of getting PC onto Telly.
Dont want to have to get a new graphics card… DVI to HDMI… So just wondered what the quality would be like for using laptop / watching DVD’s / Tut’s & You Tube Vids.

I should think you will need a converter, VGA to VIDEO…unless your graphics card can do ‘tv-out’ thru vga.
My laptop is permanently linked to my tv by a vga/component - quality is adequate - I also have a Maya44 usb connected to my hifi for stereo - all works a treat

My laptop is about 4 years old so I doubt it has any fancy graphics card tbh

Works. No sound - Was going “why is there no sound”, for a second - LOL

Sorted - Have a few cables / fittings now… just need to get a 3.5 jack to phono
haha! Wank - No sound via H’phones into AV to TV speakers when the PC wire is plugged in - so close…

Found a tiny little 3.5 audio IN on the TV - WTF!
Working - 3.5 to 3.5 cable, out of the laptop into the TV - Sweet!
I’m only ever helpful stop picking on me
