I’ve been trying for the past few days now to get some videos recorded for you guys but it seems that every time i turn on my mic, the smallest thing becomes a struggle, My brain goes dead and anything i try to explain i forget the small details about.
anyway as soon as i get used to it and get over my stage fright haha then you’ll have some videos.
any tips on recording them would be great.

Have we met?
We’re both on the same government list.
good tip would be to type out a script, i do video tuts for myself for my job as web designer to remind myself of stuff. then the more you read it when you come to record you just know the structure of what your doing. hope that makes sence.
I sometimes scrit technical explainations but normally i just have tons of notes.
Just a bunch of bullet points for each video.
i try to keep vids to 5 mins ( never happens) but if you just focus on a couple of things in each video if you **** up you havnt ruined as much work.
Save your project after each video to a new name so if you need to go back a step you can.
Just keep recording until your happy … Some vids could take me 10 takes some 1.
Ive tried to get in the habit of saying whatever im think even if it sounds stupid as it gives insight in to the process and can spark ideas even if you cut it out of the video.
I find it really difficult to keep the length down, cos I really want to cram the info in.
I just did a video review of Camel Phat, a fairly simple effects vst, and the firs take was over 20mins!
I tried to race through the second take and even that was 11 mins. I evidently ramble:
Thats really wierd I was looking at Camel Phat, last night

Funny/Ironic thing is that the reason I got that text was because I had closed all my browsers/twitter app/skype/ etc to avoid them popping up in the video, and it was the missus contacting me cos she couldn’t get me on skype.
Plus after the epic 20 minute review, I couldn’t be bothered to do it all again. Should take note of Phil’s advice and do short ones, can always join em up at the end I guess.
