Hi folks, How do i go about cutting a vocal to use for a remix, I use Ableton Live 8, I don’t have the original vocal files and can’t find an instrumental for the track im trying to remix, any ideas if there is a vocal isolator vst for pc, cheers.

Go to musicradar.com and navigate to the computer music magazine back issue section. The issue Autumn 2012 183 is dedicated to breaking tracks apart with all the tips and tricks you’ll ever need for your DAW and plugins, Extracting beats vocals … in fact just about anything. There are also lessons on eq-ing them to fit seamlessly into your track and hiding left over bits etc. Well worth the £6.25… + with that issue you should be able to download a nice Prime Loops Sample Library to add to your collection from their Computer Music Vault. br
