VST not showing in plug-in list

Hey guys, I have downloaded the trial version of the ANA synthesizer and for some reason it wont show up in my plug-in list in ableton. I’ve made sure the .dll files are in the same folder as all of my other plugins and also done a rescan and restarted my laptop. I have no idea how to fix it so any help would be appreciated greatly!

Thanks, roar!

have you set a custom VST Folder in ableton prefs? sometimes it picks up plugins that the main folder dosnt.

Hmm I just tried it then and it’s still not showing up… all other VST’s are are showing up but for some reason it’s not registering that that ANA.dll file is a VST…?

Try reinstalling ANA… and double check on the installer that the folder is the same as your custom folder.

I’ll try that when I get home but I wouldn’t think it would matter if I’ve moved all the ANA stuff to the custom folder after installation? Do you have any other suggestions if it doesn’t work? Thanks again!

you shouldnt need to move anything.

in fact moving anything other than the .dll will cause problems.

Ok well re-installing it into a custom folder hasn’t worked either … any other ideas?

When scanning/re-scanning it comes up in the bottom left corner that it has seen “ANA.dll” in the folder but then it wont show up in the plugin list… hmm?? I have also tried pressing “alt” and search again and still nothing!

Are you installing 32 bit and 64 bit versions?

Yeah I am but I have installed it with both separate aswell… Really strange that it’s not showing up…

Yeah its very odd… Where do you have your custom vst folder located?

What version of windows are you using?

I have tried the custom folder on the desktop and my documents aswell as the original location ! I’m running windows xp mate

ah… windows XP could be the problem.

Its the only unusual part i can think of.

Ill check with the developer to see if there is any issues that could be related.

you really should be thinking of windows 7… really big improvement in every area and as stable as XP.

I’m using quite an old laptop too haha. Can’t really afford to upgrade at the moment ! Hopefully it will be compatible with xp… Cheers

do you know what CPU is in your laptop?

My Cpu is Intel(R) Pentium(R) M Processor 1.80GHz, 592 MHz, 504 MB of RAM… i think that’s what ya need ? it’s xp professional

ok… that is a problem.

this is our minimum sys reqs.

System Requirements

Windows

Windows 7 , Windows XP, Windows Vista (32 Bit)

Intel Core Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2, 512 MB RAM

the 1.8 pentium m is an 8 year old chip and just fell out of the list of supported chips.

I think this is why its not showing up.

Aww damn, so even if I get more ram then it still won’t work?

Ill check with the Dev just to be sure.

Cheers mate!
