VST's

???

If you have just started out I would recommend using the instruments and effects that come with your DAW. But if you still want to get some VSTs it would help to know what DAW you have, what stye of music you want to make and maybe what you want the VSTs to do.

These free ones are very popular, I use the first two on every channel.

Also if you subscribe here, which is a much better financial investment than buying VSTs, then Sylenth1 synth is a good buy.

I am sure we were seperated at birth

ive got ableton live 8, n im gona b trying to produce hardcore and house / electro house, and will be after some big electro sounds and some big phat bass’s,

Fanks for the help

If there is one piece of advice I wish I had got when I started it would be to get one Synth and just use that and the stuff that comes with Ableton.

Like I said Sylenth1 is a really good choice as it is used on most of the tutorials on this site, and it sounds great. You can download the demo, which doesn’t expire it just has a nag sound every now and then.

Having said that, I am not sure I would have taken that advice

Sylenth is great and very straight forward. I would suggest getting Massive as well. Therefore you have Sylenth, Massive and Ableton’s plugins. Other then that, I would grab the SoundToys Bundle. Its expensive but its absolutely amazing. Lastly, I would grab PSP Vintage Warmer.

i wasted a fortune on stuff i did not need and still dont use or understand lol

grab sylenth as you can follow the tut’s on here it sounds great and is easy to use…

Sylenth + Ohmicide Multiband Distortion + MDA Stereo + Sonnox Oxford Inflator = PHAT electro house bass. Seriously: you can make the craziest sounds out of 8 voices and a saw wave.
