So my bro called and asked me if he had any ideas on how to get a washed out sound like this.

use a nice pad lots of reverb and delays and compress your FX returns twice…



once to bring all the fx decays up and another to sidechain the kick

Computer Music did a tutorial on getting that godley and cream style Choir pad, i’ll see if i can dig it out.



I really like the Washed Out slower stuff the faster stuff loses it’s melancholy feel.
