Still donât have a clue on what OS youâre working
Now we know that youâre using Reason 10.4 but are you on a Mac or a Windows machine, using the 64bit or 32bit version of the plugin ? Thanks to be as much specific as you can.
@phil_johnston while still waiting for more details from the user, anything coming to mind why the 3d Wavetables wonât load in the demo on might it be something Propellerhead Reason specific perhaps ?
Oh and just another bit of infor you might find handy, I download the presets in question, and played them individually using WMP and also imported them into Dune and they all worked, so⌠Not corrupted or anything.
@astus OK, thank you for the update, might be helpful to specify your CPU & RAM as well later on, since youâre mentioning that it keeps saying âloadingâ when trying to load some of the 3d Wavetables.
@phil_johnston so thatâs happening on Win 10 - 1903 64bit system using Propellerhead Reason v 10.4 ( which I donât own on my end ).
My windows is 64Bit, Reason is 64Bit, THe software .dll is the 64Bit version.
Demo still has 6 days on the clock.
All the 3D wavetables work outside of Ana2
The HD Wavetables is ticked in the settings.
The CPU is running low at 7.3%
All other functions of Demo outside of restrictions (i.e. Noise etc) is working perfectly
The wavetables are not loading correctly Phil. Across all 3 OSCâs. Also when the wavetable is clicked the dials are not changing to morph either.Which sort of hints at some function within the program is not being implemented and its not just the âactualâ wavetable (But I dont know how its programmed so⌠lol
Ok, thanks. Really no clue what could be the problem so far, wondering if this is not Reason specific. Is Reason 11 a paying upgrade when you already own version 10 btw or could you just upgrade for free ? And I donât know if itâs still possible to demo Reason 10. Letâs wait for some inputs from Phil or S.A team here for now.
Is it making any difference if you UN-tick the HD Wavetables in settings ? After changing the setting, close the instance of ANA 2 as well as your DAW and restart a new session to ensure that the change is taking place.
I was just trying to know if there was a chance you could update to Reason 11 to test with the latest version and no, itâs not about you demoing Reason 10⌠I was talking about my end
Oh ok demoing your end. Got ya I didnt mention it, but I naturally came out of the VST, Reason and shut down the computer before i contacted you. Also its occurred over two days, I shut everything down last night. Anyways best of luck, if there is anything I can do to help you please let me know and thank you for the assistance so far.
Yep looks weird, really shouldnât be something to do with the demo. At this point Iâm more thinking about system specific or maybe Reason itself. Letâs see what S.A team think about it and if itâs better to open a support ticket. Let me know if UN-ticking the HD Wavetables setting and restarting Reason helped. Catching up after lunch.
Hi Tekalight I unticked and reticked the HD box last night and restarted everything blah blah and it helped for 1 or 2 minutes but then back to normal. But even then not all loaded or some.
Could you check whatâs going on with Reason cachemanager files. With a default Reason install, you should have some files matching this format ( check pic below ) located in the following path :
That is if they havenât change the path, if not search for *.cachemanager files.
You can back them up to a temp folder for safety if you want but you should be safe to delete all those .cachemaker files. Cleanup your system trash, restart Reason and give it another try with ANA 2.
That first step above is to cleanup memory cache used by Reason, it might help too.
Another thing could be to force a VST Rescan an get rid of whatâs in Reasonâs VST database cache too.
Now be aware that taking this second step implies that Reason will have to perform a complete new scan of all your VST plugins on your system, it might just take some time.
To do this you have to delete the file PluginDatabase.dat that you should find inside the following path : C:\Users\yourUserName\AppData\Local\Propellerhead Software\Reason
Once the PluginDatabase.dat deleted, cleanup your system trash & even registry using the free CCleaner, restart your PC and run Reason which should proceed to a new VST scan.
It can happen that the plugin scan database get corrupted over time, this is not specific to Reason, Iâve seen this happen with other Daws too, so it might worth it giving it a try.
EDIT : Double checking this way to force VST re-scan and it might be Reason 9 specific, if you canât find the PluginDatabase.dat file in the above location then in Reason 10 you will have to remove your VST plugins path from Reasonâs Preferences ( check pic below ) â Then Close Reason / CCleaner / Reboot / Open Reason / Add the VST Plugin Path in Preferences again and perform a new VST Scan.
Hi Tekalight, No its still happening after everything we did. So I was going to ask you, if I got the full version and this still happened would you be happy to give a refund if the problem still happened to me? If yes, then I would just still get the full version to try. =o)
Yes of course, you can purchase the full version and not only sales at S.A can arrange a refund for you if itâs really not working but they could try to dive even deeper than I did to help you with this issue. Actually they monitor the forums as well and I did ask about this issue and they havenât seen this kind of problem before, so hopefully it should work at some point, maybe a new install with the full version will fix it. It might be good to use a 3thd party app like the free version of IObit uninstaller to do a clean uninstall of the demo & cleaning windows registry & left over files before installing the full version.
So yes, no worries, you can purchase the full version ( itâs on sale right now BTW ) and get a refund from S.A if needed, just drop them a mail at customerservice@sonicacademy.com if you need to ask for a refund.
