That why I think there should be a psy tut, everyone can learn something from those guys[/quote]
i used to play psy & goa and loved it but i really think the upto date stuff isn’t that great and in many cases just sounds like NRG with long delays added. the early stuff was very simple and hypnotic with great arrangements and well thought out ideas and some of the best use of movie samples ever
The more minimal the music the harder is becomes to keep things interesting imo but the hardest for me personally is Tech-House, i find it very hard to get all the right sounds and space in the mix while keeping the track going with out giving away to much to early
I wonder if there is a Howie tut for that?

What about a Roben tutorial? Are we ever gonna see one of those?
I’d LOVE too bro! Definitely.
Only thing is i need the software to record, as well as a mic that I can plug into my computer. I was thinking maybe possibly one of those basic cheap USB mics would do? Does the software record the audio that is being played on Ableton internally or also through the mic? (in which case a cheap USB mic not be very good haha).
I could do with a tut on recording tuts

Joking aside I actually would be quite interested in that

There’s a tut for that!
This may sound cliche, but I believe that the most difficult type of music to create is YOUR original sounding music, regardless of what genre it could be placed in.

Yeah I used to love (still do actually) all the old psy stuff too! Trust in trance by astral projection is still one of the best albums i own! Love it! Can’t believe how old it is every time I listen!
I don’t listen to the modern full on stuff much anymore. Gets repetitive coz a lot of the guys out there don’t have any new ideas. The tracks are just movie quotes, massive rolling bass lines, squelchy acid leads. That for every track they make.
But there are some guys out there who are great with some really good ideas! And their production skills are up there with the very best!
