oh man this thread is going places. 
for me I would say my musical tastes go:
Trance, House (all kinds), Techno. Other styles like DnB, DubStep, Minimal and whatnot are all good, and I will gladly listen to a couple tracks… I just have a problem being out in a club and listening to those styles for multiple hours straight.
I’m also a big rock n Rolla. can’t stand RnB either.

Almost identical to you bud. Love trance and house, also love a bit of techno, and working on producing more techno’y stuff while my main style is more melodic trance, but also like DnB/Dubstep for easy listening, though I like a bit of minimal in a club.
I wouldn’t say I’m a massive Rock ‘n’ Rolla, though I love the more melodic/operatic (maybe gothic is the word?) metal/rock (in fact I really don’t know how to define it as a genre as I’ve never asked myself what it is) like Muse and Placebo. Also love indie like Radiohead, Interpol, Animal Collective, Super Fury Animals, etc…
And yep. Hate RnB and Hip Hop.
Someone mentioned hating Dizzee Rascal, which I used to, though I’m a lot more tolerant of him these days since he redefined his style to the “something something look sharp” days which I just wanted to vomit in his face for ruining my day whenever I heard his voice, purely so I could ruin his too.
Early 90s hardcore/rave (is where it all started for me), acid house, 90s and early 00s techno, d’n’b, dubstep, idm/experimental, 8bit, house, trance and a bit if happy hardcore and hard house.
Never really been a massive fan of guitars, but I do like nirvana. Smells like teen spirit is one of my favourite albums.
Also like classical and all the new romantic 80’s synth pop
