What's the best way to EQ Trance basslines

Hi Sonic Academybr
br
I have a question for you guys, I’ve recently purchased your trance tutorial for Ableton and I want to further enhance my trance productions a bit more.br
br
I was wondering what are other ideas to EQ your basslines to get that clarity drive.br

what synth you using? I always am trying to micro eq everything on the synth and then go to compression and an eq8

When i was producing trance, i used to find it useful to create 2 or 3 seperate basslines, one sub one, and then two a little higher up.br
br
You would have to EQ them to fit together, cutting the mids and highs from the sub bassline, then cutting the real lows from the other two.br
br
Can help to remove some of the low mid frequencies from each of them as well for clarity, between about 150-500Hz.

The same way you’d EQ other genres too. Make sure that the bass and kick aren’t sitting in the same frequency range, if they are, then just EQ one out and one in / sidechain, and/or try a diff kick / bassline.

Well I use sylenth and nexus to create the basslines.

That’s what I do as well… separating the basslines but I always had a bit of trouble eqing them properly. But I will take tip for the eqing bit.br

trance basslines are usually very powerfull in the lower mid frequencies, mess around there.
