Got this link from Mario E (Myon of M&S54) and he put this up and was like how much producers lack creativity.
Surprised yet ???
similar but still all very individual sounds. i think originality is just another hype word (like sidechain) for bigger producers on forums to make lesser producers still feel small time. its a completely blown up meaning. there has not really been anything totally original apart from the invention of the electric guitar and synthesizer in hundreds of years.
especially when it comes to dance music people get too caught up in trying to sound original and sometimes forget that the music is supposed to be their to dance to. i personally think that its more important to get your personality into your music than it is to be “Original” take elements of tracks you love and build your own style, that in its self some people would class as being “Original” but its not!!! Being “Original” would be if you created sounds in a totally unique way, Different sounds that people had never heard before, invented your own working chords/scales/Timing but that’s not practical when all you want to do is make a song that people enjoy and dance to.
Kurt Cobain thought he was being original when he smashed the stage up and destroyed instruments but wolfgang amadeus mozart beat him to that quite a few years before hand. Both in their time would have also been considered heavier and more rebellious music, so that’s another similarity.
I think people should stop worrying about what others think and start making music that they feel, don’t write music for a label write it for your self and even if some people don’t like it others will.
It doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad, original or copycat as long as you enjoyed making it and others enjoy listening to it.
hahahahaha all those tunes sound the same!!!
anjunabeats has a lot to answer for lol
its obviously a blue print for trance at this moment in time. most styles have a common sound or have had it

when someone played me an electro track i thought it was funk, bassline sounded like speed garage and dub step that we have now sounds like the underground garage from years back. im not the only person to have said this i’m sure of that.
not much changes and its mainly down to the record labels and djs that these silly new names catch on and become a genre. nothing new just the illusion of something new.
