Why does this not get boring?

I’ve recently been listening back to aload of the stuff that was floating my boat a couple of years back. I absolutely loved the below tune.

- YouTube

I remember first hearing it at GG 2008 and thinking wow, it blew the top off the tent I was in, it was one of those tunes that was played at exactly the right point in the set to make everyone go nuts.

Listening to the tune it’s pretty simple, but really effective. I was just wondering what people thought kept it interesting. It sounds like there’s a couple of layers for the stab sound that merge in and out of one and other. There seems to be automation on the reverb and delays on the stab. Not sure if the is any panning on the stab. It just seems like very subtle changes would love to know how he did it.

Any further ideas?

Danny.

strange because its a very simple track and you would think that the simpler it is the quicker you become bored with it, not always the case though i still love these tracks and have played them for years.

True say mate, I may have a go at making it, see if I can work everything out, will help with my arrangement block. Such a great little track, I found the producer on soundcloud and poked an email his way, see if he’ll divulge the brilliance behind the track and why it got such a poor name!

I love the comment on YT for the DK* track - which is a fav of mine

Once, I was at a party, walking past the bass bins but when the bass kicked in (you know the bit), I got flung across the room and broke my neck and died.
