Will Tech House Tutorial continue?

Will there be any more Tech House videos showing stuff like Mark Knight / Funkagenda and other guys did lately?

These producers show a very big presence in the charts, it would be cool to get some tips and tricks. VSTs/techniques they use…

Don’t get me wrong, I love Tech House but Sonic’s covered loads of House lately.

I want to see some Techno, Sven Vath / Cocoon, Psycatron even

Remember, even if you don’t produce that certain style of genre, there is always things you can pick up which can help you in your own prefered style.

For instance i was watching some stuff from Computer Music from a Breaks producer and some of the tips were sh*t hot!

check the swedish house mafia tuts some of the ideas are the same.

I agree with Roben…

All the tutorials include tips and tricks that can be helpfull to any genre.

i have found many things that i could use to my projects.

A combination of:

  • Justice
  • Moto Blanco
  • Tech House
  • Swedish house mafia

and even some technics provided at the trance tutorials could help us to develop

a real and professional tech house sound.

What i am doing lately is listening to some tracks that i like and try to understand how the technics that i ve “studied” at sonic academy implement on them. Then i experiment and trying to produce a similar sound…not always as easy as it sounds :w00t:

I believe a good idea for sonic academy would be to provide some videos/interviews from artists of different genres, on which they would explain what vsts they use, how they build up their tracks and maybe share some technics. This would help cover more genres.

Of course Phil, later this semester, you could provide us a second part of tech house tutorial… helping us create the cool trippy tech house summer anthem of the year :P:P:cool::cool::cool:

Computer Music/Future Music magazine already do this on a monthly basis and there would be costs involved with visiting these guys, CM/FM are selling thousands of mags at £6 a pop, I don’t think Sonic would have the budget for road trips & cost of time with other producers yet.

But maybe would still be a good thing to see later on down the line as Sonics success grows perhaps.
