I notice you can upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8 for just £25 before January 2013. Is it worth doing people? Have any of you guys got windows 8 and is it any good.
Have you come accross any known issues with VST’s or Ableton etc. I would normally wait until its more established but this seems a good offer.
I have also heard a rumour that windows are now bringing a new OS out every year - is this true?

I got it now for like 2 months and I’m totally happy and satisfied with it. Like Win7 just faster.
The whole app based design and features doesn’t interest me in the slightest.
I know you can change back to original view but I dunno, if something isn’t broken then why fix it? So I’m probs sticking to Win 7.
I agree that the whole app thing leans more towards tablets etc but the low cost of upgrading is enticing. Also the fact that Microsoft are now introducing a new OS each year it may mean that older OS are not supported. I suppose i could give it a go and if its no good revert back to Windows 7.
