Wolfgang Gartner style Electro House

Hey Everyone

I really think it would be a great thing if we had some kind of tutorial that covered how to get that kind of glitchy electro sound that wolfgang gartner and the likes of deadmau5 use in many of their tracks.

I know we have other electro house tutorials but they do tend to just cover the more funkier side of electro house, I would really like to see something a bit more dirty.

For example Wolfgang Gartner- Undertaker Wolfgang Gartner - Undertaker - YouTube

The way he glitches and morphes different basslines in to one mass of awesomness is pretty :w00t:

I really wouldnt know where to start. So yeah it would be pretty nice to have an insight into how its done properly.

Thanks xx

+1 for this. I would love to know how to do this as well.

The other thing I am wondering…

What type of synth sound is that he uses at 2:05?

How could I go about re-creating that type of synth on my own?

i hate that we get no responses for this one!

Wolfgang is awesome and his compositions are very interesting

+1 for a filthy felguk/WG style electro house tut

i never managed to do such a track, but i know how it can be done: 1st you need a HUGE collection of one-shots, then you have to pitch them all to C…then you can start finding one-shots that work well together & form a bassline…“thats it”! optionally you could also add a sawbass under all of it like wolfgang does quite often…

well that is a start in the right direction.

I have only begun to start scratching the surface of sample potential… but now I know a little more about what I should be looking to do. thanks for the tip 4 sure.

i would love to see a Sonic Academy tutorial that primarily focused on using samples to compose a song. maby it already exists and I am not even aware! lol. if anyone knows this point it out!

that would be nice or just a tut on basic “glitching” techniques would be cool too.
