Hi Guys,

It is hard to keep everyone happy, but I can confirm I will be updating the trance tut in Logic soon. We will be a ‘How To Remix’ in three different DAWs next, and after I get that finished I will be starting Trance. We are a very small team and trying our best to keep everyone happy, but is it hard. We have also been trying to do tuts on the fundamentals like - compressors and reverbs, which should help everyone regardless of the DAW they use. Hope that helps.

Does that just mean you are doing the same trance tut but in a different DAW?

If it’s a new one though, think you should take a look at this http://forums.sonicacademy.com/Topic15226-10-1.aspx

well I don’t have logic and Ableton but still I wouldn’t mind this tutorial to be in Logic, no need to get all the tutorials in Ableton, I use Cubase and I always found it useless to ask for all the tutorials to be in Cubase you have to understand the principles that’s all

I think it’s worth saying also that two out of the three How to Remix tutorials aren’t house tunes, so hopefully some stuff in there for those looking some non house techniques.

how about a “trance mini series” maybe 3 full tracks on trance

one could be from the 90s covering a classic

two could be different up to date styles :w00t:

good tune back in the day but a bit chedder vocal trance now… but still ok if u know it from then, also very simple in comparison to the newer stuff so I would hope for something much more up to date. the tut thats up now sounds dated and thats 2007 I think? maybe 2008.

as well as the fact the tech has advanced by 11 - 12 year… like the diffrents between an intel 486 processer and a i7 processer. I’m 99.9% sure that after learning how to make some of the complex trance around these day you could make make everyday no bother to all.

my wish came true!

I asked for How to Remix tutorials when I first joined and now I can expect them soon!

WOOT!

+100000000000 for a sikkkk new trance tutorial.

Looking forward to it!

im buzzin!!!

I guess i should act rampant and start asking SA again “Where is my Deep House Tutorials”!!!

hopefully they read it too

we have a trance course coming in logic soon, along with our remix courses so theres plenty to get stuck in to!

Woot Woot!!!

YEEEEHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAA

i’d really like to see some tutorials on the music theory behind trance and the more melodic progressive house: how to find good melodies and harmonies without knowing how to play an instrument if at all possible

vocals?

i meant the original

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj3FTucf03s :hehe:

but youre right not as complex as the modern stuff just though as chris is on the site we could get an insight into a proper classic!
