I am not sure what is an especific characteristic of this type of House Music .

can someone explain me ?
YouTube … Mark farina
Whenever I heard that term I assumed it was like house, but really jackin’. Sounds obvious I know, but I thought of it more of a collection of styles.
Like Wonky, fidget, baltimore, electro-ish, funky new ravey stuff.
Rather than the more serious and non-party styles like Deep, soulful, minimal and tech house.
apparently it’s got nothing to do with Jacking off in your mates house…
I really should ask on here before i conduct my own experiments

Yeah thats probably the best description.
But any house beat can be jacking, its just a way to describe a cretin feel that some tracks have. Big kinda beats really
like this, a tribal house track but its still jacking
A lot of people have been stealing the ‘jackin house’ title and applying it to wonky fidget bassline styled house, but in actual fact, the real jackin house has been around many many years before and came from the chicago house scene.
Also people lately have been confusing jackin house for ‘funky house’, there is a difference however.
Jackin House has as jacky bounce to it, it’s jacked up house… i’ve put down some samples below.
Some well known pioneers and producers of the jackin house scene are:
- Joey Youngman (now known as Wolfgang Gartner due to his electro works)
- The Sound Republic
- Inland Knights
- Sonny Fodera
- Bryan Jones
- Tommy Largo
By the way I get a bit precious about this subject because I was playing Jackin House for years before the fidget / wonky stuff came about, really gets up my nose when people call that stuff Jackin House cos it sounds NOTHING like it!
Well we sort of agree.
When House first emerged it was all largely quite ‘jacking’. Especially the early Chicago sound.
Then ‘House’ became more popular and commercial and you got that boring 90s stuff, and the serious stuff I mentioned above.
When I say the more fidgety (tho I dont like that word) stuff, I’m referring to the newer styles that are more about heavy danceability and partyness rather than sounding sophisticated, ‘credible’ and posturing.
I was inferring that ‘Jacking’ is a feeling rather than a particular style.
A lot of people confuse something that’s ‘main room’ as Jackin’ for me its all about the funk.
Its stealing property.
Quit Jackin my House!!!
yes/no?:hehe:

Yeah def, Its just a kinda groove.
In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove.
And from this groove came the groove of all grooves.
And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldy declared,
“Let there be HOUSE!”
and house music was born.
“I am, you see,
I am
the creator, and this is my house!
And, in my house there is ONLY house music.
But, I am not so selfish because once you enter my house it then becomes OUR house and OUR house music!”
And, you see, no one man owns house because house music is a universal language, spoken and understood by all.
You see, house is a feeling that no one can understand really unless you’re deep into the vibe of house.
House is an uncontrollable desire to jack your body.
And, as I told you before, this is our house and our house music.
And in every house, you understand, there is a keeper.
And, in this house, the keeper is Jack.
Now some of you who might wonder,
“Who is Jack, and what is it that Jack does?”
Jack is the one who gives you the power to jack your body!
Jack is the one who gives you the power to do the snake.
Jack is the one who gives you the key to the wiggly worm.
Jack is the one who learns you how to walk your body.
Jack is the one that can bring nations and nations of all Jackers together under one house.
You may be black, you may be white; you may be Jew or Gentile. It don’t make a difference in OUR House.
And this is fresh
Amen
