look… pal!!
ive learned a lot from the prog and techno tuts and i think there amazing!!
ive watched many more as well!!!
but we are due a new electronica, trancey, progressive style tut.
there’s simply not enough in that genre even though its as popular as anything.
waynes right. were payin for the house jockeys!!
a think what me and wayne mean about trance as well is stuff like this… have a quick listen!!
Jon O'Bir ft. Fisher - Found A Way (JOC Remix LLT Edit) - YouTube
and
Ummet Ozcan - Trinity (Original Mix) - YouTube
guys guys…
If you learn the stuff that I am talking about and just LISTEN to the songs, you will be able to pick out what they are doing and create it on your own. If you want to break a song down and imitate, create a ghost track.
Pull the track in your daw and loop an 8 bar section. Listen to it over and over and advance by 4 bars at a time. Keep listening and imitate what they are doing. THATS how you learn. Not by being spoon fed all the time.

I understand exactly what you mean, but my point is that these are variations on a theme, and they are all based within house - trance is a variation on house - in the same way me asking for the tensnake tutorial or a Kerry Chandler tut is just me asking for finer detail within that genre.
There is a lot of music out there and for them to cover it all would be impossible - so they have to cover the common basics of a genre as they can’t do indepth tutorials about everything that is out there. The point of this website is to give you a basic grounding in genres of your choice.
I don’t think there is any form of favouritsm, so for the last time please understand i’m not saying they sholdn’t do a trance tutorial, i’m just saying that these guys listen to what people want and eventually they’ll cover what you want but maybe not int he finer details you’re asking for.
Just be patient, but moaning about things that have already been covered and claiming favouritism isn’t probably going to help your cause.

Because it will give you the basic grounding in your genre of choice, and you’ll be able to stand without their help.
There is just no way they can cover all sub-Genres and every aspect of a style of production, those questions are what this forum is for, you ask questions and people help out.
I agree they need to repair that tutorial or do a new one though.
completely agree!!
im here as beginner, without the ability to just listen and make. thats why im here
and for god sake wil some1 listen to the main riffs in them 2 tracks, theres no way i could make them yet!
no idea where i would even start!!
this is why a new tut needs should be made
well fingers crossed mate, they do listen and i’m sure there will be somethign in the pipeline sooner rather then later.

I just don’t get this statement 'cause if you ignore the prog house vids, which your asking for more of then there’s no more ‘house’ videos than there are prog and trance in any way.
When I first bought ableton and was really rubbish at making music everything I made sounded like trance…nuff said.

I’ve already got a good grounding mate, done a years course on reason 2.5… a while ago that was but was hoping to learn for more here, which I have but am now at the stage where I need more in my genre…
progressive trance.
not prog house.
this is exactly the way i feel…
glad some1 else too.

hehe Spoon fed !! that is what i feel every time when people complain about what SA tutorials should be made. not to sound like a **** but i sincerely expecting a Deep house tutorial since my subscription last year still and i haven’t seen one which upset me sometimes but . watching other tutorials helped me out to learned alot in Production tips that helped me in my tracks .so yeahh u pay the subscription to not only learn the basic but to expand your knowledge in all kind of Electronic Music .
if you are in so desperate try the how to make Progressive Trance tutorial. lots of info there. i am sure it will help you till SA makes a trance tutorials .
and by the way what are you trying to learn from a Trance tutorial ?
wel if thats the case, a deep house tut and an electronica trance tut should be on there way!!!

Dunno until I see it!
Just wish it would be done… even more so as the one we have isnt fully complete… I personally feel ripped off about that because I signed up because I wanted to see that one IN FULL… and its bloody incomplete… and out dated now… anyway… rant over
there are one or two trance tutorials and a prog house tutorial. VERY similar.
I get the deep house part. Cool, but you can do the same by analyzing the sounds dood. You just gotta break it down. Do what I said and I promise things will come alot easier.
there’s two similar sounds that are regularly being used in the modern day electronic trance tunes, the type of tunes we mean when we use the term ‘TRANCE’
Ummet Ozcan - Trinity (Original Mix) - YouTube
have a listen!!
this is what the trance fans mean by ‘trance’
i try to imitate the 2 sounds or at least figure out what they hell they are and how there done.
i fail everytime.
this is why we need this genre covered
its not an easy genre. just have a bloody listen!!!

Ummet Ozcan comes from a Progressive Techno Background . even do the track of you link sounds alot like the Progressive trance tutorial from SA . also the riffs is similar to the latest Progressive tutorial . i dont want to sound like a **** but all the structure of what are you looking for is found at least in 4 different SA tutorials.

dude, relax!
Listen to aline… if you watch all the videos, including all the tech tips and put the techniques to use, you will find that all the info is there to create the sounds that you are after. You can even probably just watch the trance and progressive tutorials and modify the sounds and get what you are after.
the genre has been covered.
but like i said, take what you know and make your own sound with the knowledge you have.
probably a bad example of what i was lookin for…
but ozcan’s fav genre is trance
there is just something thats missing from what i would like to see in a HTSL and i cant put my finger on it!
