How easy is it to control 4 decks with one x1? Is it a case of tabbing the page & you are on decks C & D?
Can you easily use the rotaries as faders or Xfader?

Out of the box it will only control 2 decks and not the cross fader, but it can be reprogrammed to do what you want, but you will lose some functions to gain others. The are loads of user configs for the X1:
@ICN I can understand your reluctance with the X1. Really it is best with an external mixer, and you need an audio interface. If you use the Audio 2 with it you can’t connect your deck, and if you use an external mixer you can’t record your set (when using an external mixer you need to take a line out of the mixer and in to the Audio interface).
All that said it is really excellent, and if you can make it work then it is worth it.

Going to sell a 1210 - probably, maybe. I cant see myself buying records again… but I dont know about not being able to play around with the records that I do have.

For controller wise at the moment I am using a MBP running ableton, a apc20 for setting off my tracks, samples and fx’s, then all that goes threw a my usb soundcard what then goes into a normal DJ mixer so I can mix normally!
Going to give traktor a go when I go back to college as can midi map the apc20 to control it so I won’t have to touch my macbook and can use that in the same way!
Pity… Mine are absolutely spotless. Not even a scratch on the Dustcovers. Really well looked after. Never partied or anything. There was always others easier to convince to do that

The new price of 1210s have gone up because they have stopped making them. Eventually the second hand price will go up too. But you still shouldn’t sell them even when they are worth loads.
They are a piece of classic design that mean a huge amount to people are age. When you are 80 you will be glad you still have them.
I was thinking about a Syncrosoft Dongle with 5 synths… Dont use them enough.

They’re all on the same dongle. Find myself using samples & fx now more than anything… Synthwise - have Sylenth… and of course, theres all the Logic ones too.
They’ll hopefully be much easier to sell in one big megadeal… Thats the plan! :)
