What’s the difference?

A. The Difference? Women smell better when they use Impulse.
Drum Rack has little or no effect on BO.
I ment Impulse. My head hurts!
haha! Mine too :hehe:
So what is the difference then bellwhiff?
Drum rack uses either simpler or sampler (depending on how you set it up) and each channel has just 1 or 2 possible velocity modulation options which effect just volume and filter cutoff, where as Impulse has around 40+ per Impulse that effect panning, time, pitch, filter cutoff and such making Impulse a much better machine for the task of making electronic beats.
where as if you are programming rock or pop style beats then Drum rack is a better option its simple and everything is already grouped and bused for you with the velocity modulating the volume.
My personal opinion is though that Impulse also sounds tighter and more punchy and although it takes more effort setting it up, its also my favourite to use.
Haha! The irony is that he (Jon) just answered you there
He was the subject of that quote.

Honest to fck… I cant think of that word without laughing out loud. Its just so stoopid.
That whole couple of days with Scott were so funny. It was just building & building & the slaggings were so childish. Hilarious.

I disagree with Jon. I think drum racks gives you more options and has more routing capabilities as well. Personally, I think they sound a little different, but if you put a saturator on your drum rack channel, you might get a touch more punch.
but really, its all a matter of preference. You can achieve great things with either.
I would like to add yet another post by ICN where he does no good for the OP.
hahaha! You seriously need to get some joy in your life this year Howie.
Maybe try this helpful advice of your own.

Quote of the year so far! :P[/quote]
My Favourite quote of the year was from a (black) friend at work who said
“Mauhadi Alled is just a mouthy N@%^& who did nothing for black people, apart from cause trouble”
after about 2 minutes of looking confused at him i said “wtf are you talking about” and he said “you know, that ***** boxer bloke” … (me) “Do you mean Ali”
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I was using impluse but then one day I put a kick in drum rack… for some odd reason the kick sounded much betterr in drum rack… dont ask me why… anyway I’ve never turned back, it give you so much more things u can do I think, like went take a kick and spilt it up into low, mid and high to tune it with a mulitband eq - changed how I work with kicks completely! Drum rack all the way!
