Yes, you can connect the MPC to Bitwig via Wifi if your computer and your MPC device share the same Wifi Network. In Bitwig you’ll need to enable “Ableton Link” in Settings/Synchronization/Transport Sync(IN)
On your MPC device, you’ll need to check the MIDI / SYNC settings and select Ableton Link for the Sync Receive option I believe ( refer to your own device Midi/Sync settings ).
Next to Ableton Link, most MPC devices can be used as a Midi Controller with Bitwig.
Defo check and install the Bitwig Studio Extension free package from Jürgen Moßgraber.
Yeah, so Nate is referring to the older Bitwig courses from Dom Kane ( done using a previous version of Bitwig ) but you’re actually going to rebuild the same track in Bitwig 5 Level 1 and Level 2 courses with Protoculture.

Common, man. You lost me on 1:15 “I’m gonna bring in some random audio file, I’m gonna kinda drop some random notes”. Show how you do that. I’m not familiar with Live or Cubase. This is a beginners course. Don’t do things taking for granted the we the clients knows how to ir.
In which video are you getting lost at 1:15? Is it in Video 08 “Project Import” ??
It’s a pretty common feature to any DAW to be able to import either Audio or Midi files using Drag & Drop.
Do not hesitate to enable the text transcript and to pause and rewind the videos if you feel like something isn’t clear enough at first.
Great course! I got hung up on the last one though. Seems things have changed a bit for automation in general. Any suggestions on what to research regarding the specific differences between the two workflows? Thanks!

@marvinx you can check what’s new in Bitwig Studio 6 and upcoming 6.1 ( available in Beta at the moment ) watching those other 2 courses. The 1st course covers adaptable automation features.

Very helpful class to help me wrap my head around Bitwig. The more I use it, the more I realize moving from Ableton was the right move.
