How To Use - Bitwig 5 Beginner Level 1 / 1591

Good stuff. Thx.

I’ve been postponing diving into bitwig after buying it cheap for the 10 years. I’ve been using it, yes, but didn’t realize how much I was actually struggling (my experience with DAWs is fron 20 years ago, and it shows). I’ve finally taken the plunge with thias series, and now it all clicks, thanks! I’ll be sure to check out level 2.

PS : (I meant 10 years anniversary sales, not 10 years of Bitwig usage, ofc)

Superb Tutorial! I used Ableton since 2004. My biggest friction was the browser and the automation. This guide really help me out! Now i can’t live without the browser  Thanks Mate!

Now have only one “issue”. In live if I click on a parameter I can change it with the up down key +/- 1db or shift+up down key +/- 0.1db. Its feel like use a potmeter. Very fine and intuitive adjustment. In bitwig only shift + mouse, but still not really fine, not easy to get exact value… I know ctrl click and write the value. Its just not so cool  My best solution is the sniper button on my mouse (reduce the mouse resolution from 1700 to 700).

But any other stuff is so cool and so fast I just can’t go back.

Thanks again!

As they say, you don’t know what you don’t know. Some great bits. Wish I’d watched this 5 months ago when my Bitwig journey started.

I’m glad others are getting valuable stuff from this lesson. I’m having trouble maintaining focus on these lessons, which are walk-throughs explaining where folders are located and other things, but there’s not enough interactive guidance to hold my interest. Centering the lessons around making a project like other courses do would make the lesson more engaging. Too boring for me. Sorry to be negative.

I am a self taught Bitwig user for 3 years and this lesson showed a lot of new creative ways to produce. Really awesome, thank you.

After several years of creating music with Ableton and Cubase, I am now getting to know Bitwig. Many of the technical solutions are familiar, but I really like the seemingly endless modulation options. This is a great course, I have tried everything so far on my own Bitwig 6.05 version, which I bought after the previous DAW programs (in a crazy and responsible  ) moment. I want to make EDM, House, Afro House music.
