CM in “looks a bit more buyable than usual” shocker!!
“Producer Masterclass” with Dom Kane. He’s made a few Tech sample packs for Loopmasters. Has content on FXpansion Geist & Nerve.
OK - The Dom Kane one was a little Basic… But I watched parts of the other Vids featured on the disk last night.
They’ve got 4 Vids from some Dubstep & DnB Guys. Anyone see them?
“Reso, Qemists, Icicle, High Rankin and Cutline reveal hard-edged production techniques in three hours of video footage and a huge article in the mag. Hang on to your ears as the UK’s two biggest, baddest electronic genres collide!”
The Lads are covering some Mixing tips & going through how they make sounds. Sh!t cool & not genre specific. Have to say… far more educational than the DK effort.
If anyone has it - 3hours of stuff. Well worth the watch so far. Really interesting.
7 Tips for Creating Big Drums in Your Mix
http://primeloops.com/news/7-tips-for-creating-big-drums-in-your-mix/
Well…
Watched those Umek Vids last night. Really good to watch him work. A good Guy.
Wouldnt say that he gave loads of tips per say… but he spoke about a lot of different subjects that were interesting nonetheless.
Just seeing his attitude was cool. He was v.down to earth & honest. Talking about mistakes that he’d made in tracks & was open to show what stuff he had on his mastering chain etc… That classical track that he made in the end was pretty ok. Bit cheesy - but kinda cool actually.
He spoke about EQ’ing, compression, levels, using loops and a bit about Kicks / Basslines. Definitely worth the watch. It was nice to see the fx chains that he had on particular elements in the tracks.
Suppose the highlight of the whole Vid was him running through how he used a synth by Future Audio Workshops - Circle.
Came out a couple of years ago. Company is based in Co.Galway in Ireland. Really cool sound.

Internet land is actually quite small - especially in the circles that we choose to move in.
