Wisdom to the Wise is 1996? Fck. Sounds really fresh. Even production wise… doesnt sound too dated.
That Vid from the Club was cool. Was it a dark pit of a place? They’re usually the best.
Mental music
Well I used to go to a club called FF (stood for fist f**k) every sunday at Turmills for 7 years only missing nights when I was on holiday. There were parts of the club even I wouldn’t feel safe
I could tell you some stories but not for a public forum so here is some audio instead

Sweeet tunes man!
Since I am here, just thought i would post stuff i was into back in the 90’s
Oh, yes i did take too many substances then;):P:w00t:
To be honest my mate Gem has showed me a **** load of stuff when it comes to production and even now when I need help with a track she is one of the 1st people I go to for help!
Spent many hours in her studo asking questions on why she is doing what she is when she has been working on solo tracks, even my mate Steve her fella started off with her showing him how to work cubase and make tracks!
what about little boots?
she is beautiful and is pretty talented!
i think she produces most of her stuff as well…

Yeah I guess that makes a lot of sense really, girls arn’t as technical as guys that’s for sure, I
Would be nice to see more female producers, even perhaps more females on the forum! What ever happened to Wonk?
- really? the only girls that i met a college were much more technically gifted than the men and learned things at a much better rate, mainly because they listen.
- we probably do have more female producers on here but for the same reason as wonk they don’t talk that much, i think wonk left for 2 reasons, the ego of some of the men and the fact some people never left her alone. for some of the attitudes toward woman on this site, it will take a very brave woman to talk up.
On your 2nd point there Jon… I dont totally agree with that
Theres one or 2 Women on other forums & you can actually see the tone of the conversation changing when they get involved. Everone is extra polite & helpful etc…
Its surprising - cos Ladies love chatting… I honestly think its that there is fk all of them about… cos any time I’ve seen them get involved - people (men) do nothing but act all silly around them.
I’ve never seen anything dirty or whatever said to a woman on a MP forum just cos she’s a female. Thats just my experience anyway. I dont know why some dont get involved. Is the production world mainly Hetrosexual? White? Working / Middle Class?
Why dont more Producers on Disability Benefit join in on the forums - or do they?
How do you actually know who you are talking to? Its kinda hard to know what the sex / profile is of someone with a gender neutral username.
Maybe Ladies dont reveal their gender because like a lots of us, they enjoy the anonymity that the Internet allows. The cause of that is then not our fault, but society & how we all are programmed. Maybe its an individual confidence thing with lots of people… Many people never post regardless of whether they’re animal, vegetable or mineral. Safety, privacy & not being able to identify with the community would probably feature on a list of reasons why not.
Theres an absence of catagory that we think we can notice… but who fkn knows?
Deep ICN very deep… I like it!!
Anyways, I think it would be healthy for the forum if more female producers got involved. It is a rarity though, even at my college, the whole level 3 digital musician year group is completely male. Even the level 2 year group is completely male for that matter.

Yes sure most will be nice to start with, as many were with wonk. I’m gonna take a guess and say that you weren’t around the forum when wonk was getting **** from some of the people on here.

Was Wonk ever getting problems from people on here? I did notice people kissing her a55 a bit cos she had some releases but nothing more? Nothing that would make for someone to want to stop posting? Surely?
Perhaps I missed some threads/posts?? It’s a real shame anyways.

What was happening Jon? I remember her… mainly posting in the Tunes section… but thats all.
Actually… Scratch that… I do remember.
It was all about the HTSL Wonk Thread, wasnt it?

Who was the person giving her a hard time? samuelalbritton.
I think that person was a girl too… but cant remember.
Surely she wouldn’t stop posting because of one individual though?
I think every one of us on here have at some point had disagreements with someone or other but it’s not stopped any of us stop posting?
That’s the nature of forums, there will always be someone who has difference of opinon and belief to your own.

as far as i remember people started off by kissing her *** because she had releases and worked with other producers and then that shifted to being bugged about doing tutorials which then some progessed to being abusive.
I think one of the guys actually got himself baned but not for being an *** to wonk, the posted/ postes ended up being deleted as far as i remember

Depends though doesn’t it, If you don’t have any questions to ask and only post in the feedback section and someone gives you **** then simply stop posting because you don’t need to post.
If you need to ask questions then sometimes you have to put up with the usual forum ****.
Besides that was one of sonics biggest selling points to some of us is that you didn’t have to or shouldn’t have to put up with the usual forum crap.
We are living in a different time. Look at who our president is of U.S.
Who cares if the music industry/production/dj’s is predominately males. There are a ton of girls who DJ or make music. They just aren’t exposed as well as guys.
Not all girls are only into the expected “girly” things. We are all different.
Although, it is true that more guys are more tech-saavy.
I am a girl, but i love the things that most girls don’t like. video games. astronomy/cosmology/space, learning about music production, and a ton of other things.
It does take a lot more time for me to learn about programs and how things work. But i love it. It’s awesome to learn & stimulating. i’ve loved music since i was a kid.
Some people may produce music for attention or for creativity. Whatever their reason is. We all get inspired differently, whether we are a guy or a girl.
Music is also just a diff. form of communication.
