Iāve used reason since 2.5 on and off over the years, changed in ableton early 2010, about 15 months ago and cubase for maybe a month or 2 and Iād say cubase in the best Iāve used. Iāve also tried sonar x1, the GUI is second to none but I didnt get on with it. I only tried cubase to see if I was missing anything. It sounds so much better then ableton, I can organise myself so much better, and thing work how they are meant to - I had lots of issues with plugins crashing or doing funny things with ableton, and I wass using 8.2.2 which is the latest versions. for example waves L2 on a kick in ableton sounded totally sh!t and the same kick in cubase with the same plug on it sounds so much better. No idea why⦠but you just dont know until you try mate.
Glad you like, Gav! Iāll try to add stuff here in the forums when things get boring.

+1 to this⦠The content on this site is 10 times more than you will find anywhere else on the net and in all honesty, more than enough to keep someone busy for months on end. people are always looking for the quick fix.
I admit Jamie your last video got me a little wet blush
Haha, youāre definitely ready for NYC then! :w00t:

What about PointBlank ?
PointBlank is good, but you have to work quickly and be already somewhat advanced. The four-week classes FLY by, but the info and process over there are worth the money if you have four weeks to spend. The video responses were great!
I took the minimal class with Jonny and had a great time. But like I said, if you go in without much preparation, youāll be left behind quickly. Five of us started the class and only two of us finished tunes. If you take one of their classes, just make sure you have your **** together or itāll be tough going.

Yeah my strong points are
( write the IDEA down )
( making beats )
( mixing )
( making Melodies )
My weak points are finishing the track . I am doing the Tec trance videos and following along but adding my own cords and crashes , yet watching how to progress and finish the track . I donāt know how many times my friends ask me when will you make a full track ? I have no problems with this site at all .
[quote]JamieinNC (06/06/2011)[hr] If you take one of their classes, just make sure you have took out a large overdraft as theyāre expensive.

Hey Rob! If you are going to mince my words, can you at least retain my perfect grammar, spelling, and punctuation please? :D:P:cool:

yea h i never knew how to do resampling in cubase
Can you not just send the output of the channel to aĀ BUS1,Ā then select the input of anĀ audio track to BUS1 & hit record?
or solo your channel & do a bounce of the track up to / at that point?
Been years since I used cubase - I didnt get on with it really.

you set up a group bus and output what you want to record to it, then add a audio track and make the input the group, then solo and record or from the files menu you just export and tick the box for add to project.
Sorry, think I miss read? I thought he was going to do jamies tut in cubase???
So thats a yes then? Cool.
