The Glitchy Electro House & a bit of Dubstep... Tutorial Thread

Alchemy seems to have some pretty good wobble bass sounds in their Electric Bass preset pack ($59). Audio demo in the link.

You get one free pack when you buy Alchemy, too…

Just finished the 1st part of the tut, here is my opinion about it:

-Great bass production technique for electro or french house. Will definitely, make a Live template for this kind of bass with for this kind of workflow.

-Composition/note wise, that bass was not my style, so I modified it slightly. Maybe some pointers on musical alternative here will be helpful, imo.

-Percussion wise, change those hats asap to the offbeat, it gives way more drive if you use the basic untz untz untz pattern.

Looking forward to the rest of the series.

P.s. Isn’t there a way that you could post updates twice a week instead of just fridays?? :hehe:

P.s.2. For everyone else, try this techniques with the how to make fidget house tutorial techniques, they complement each other really good.

P.s.3. I added a glitch plug in into the bass group (i used stutter edit’s demo), the results are amazing, TRY IT!

In the interests of keeping this thread alive, I found this appropriate…

Which glitch plug-in are you working with and are you on a PC or a Mac?

i’m down. they started the glitch house tutorials but I think a lot of it is in the arrangement and that part isn’t up yet

*Sorry I posted that before I looked and saw there was 6 more pages of response!

Dubvision, great video post on page 2 that was VERY helpful.

I want to see the arrangement tutorial that is done on the glitch house videos. Thanks guys!

track is in the sig…

This is my take on Glitch! I use FL Studio and am a excessive user of the program Slicex which comes with Fl Studio. FM8 makes great saw pads for melodies and well Massive is just dirty with the basslines!

SoundCloud - Hear the world’s sounds

this is my latest experiment with the glitch genre!

Hey man, mind posting that in the thread I started about this genre below? I’ll do a long review in exchange…
