to slap the **** out of someone’s kid.
some little **** has just come past my house and ripped the Phone Line out of the wall. i managed to find the two wires i needed to connect to get my phone working (badly) and my internet working at 1mb (just about) but nothing working like it was.
managed to get through to sky TV and not sure if they are going to charge me for the repair and call out fee…
i also decided to go and see the kids dad who turned out to be a big rasta dude (one that i don’t really wanna **** with) he was ok with me and said that he would come and fix it (in his words “ya bra i be on dat shi wan de game be ova”) because he does it as his job but as of yet he’s not shown.
lol sorry Jon, i cant help but laugh purely because of the rasta impression!
Little f**ckers thou aint they fella, i think in extreme circumstances, like this, you should be able to beat them!
sorry to hear that Jon, but you shouldn’t be billed for the line, outside your home its a providers responsibility, I had my changed recently at no charge
i’m pissed off now, just got the call back from sky…sit down before you read this
they want to charge me £100 call out fee plus £60 per hour for every Hour that the guy is away from the depo (not at my house working but away from the depo) since when did we start paying for engineers to sit in Md’s FFS.

F**K THAT RIGHT OFF!!
I would be knocking on Mr Rasta’s house first thing tomorrow morning with a quote from SKY, shoving it in his mouth and saying “YOUR PAYING THIS - END OF”!
that’s ridiculous my line is with BT, but contact consumer direct or something
Yeah get in touch with consumer direct. Actually who’s that guy here who works for Citizens Advice? Think he may have some advice for you Jon.
F*cking kids
By the way ‘why is it against the law’, how about noting on the fact it’s against the law to cause criminal damage to peoples property. Speak to the police, then your insurance, then invoice the kids parents. If they fail to pay, then speak to a solicitor.

Got to agree with that roben! You have to have some sort of backup with the community when it comes to things like this…
as advised by sky, ive phoned the police (lmfao) to get a crime number as they say the maybe able to drop some of the cost if i have one. the police officer just basically laughed at me (kinda expected really) and said “i don’t really know what to say to you mr fisher, i will get one of my colleagues to phone you back in the morning” which in short means wtf mate we have murders and car crime to solve get a grip and pay the bill.
Nah, i couldnt just let it lye like that, i would kick up a mighty fuss about it all, not only with the police but the rasta! Needs to be done really!
yes for now i’m gonna sleep and in the morning either i’m gonna get it solved or i’m gonna loose some teeth, i don’t think the other dude will but who knows i’m feeling lucky.

Me
Jon what I have read you do have a case against the rasta’s - you may need proof like in anything but I would say small claims would be where you would go
You could press criminal charges but in my opinion that would escalate things at this stage and noy my field either
The Sky thing also seems like strange to me - I hate sky anyway and its something I could look into
If you want to PM me with further details I will be happy to give you more detailed advice but not on the forums (hope you understand)
On the police matter as far as I know they have to investigate and should issue a crime number it is what we pay our taxes for regardless if they think iys trival
We need more useful people on these forums like Slender! How about some solicitor who’s a budding producer? Or how about a police officer? Or even someone highly involved with Sky?
heh
Hope you get all your shiz sorted Jon!

Or maybe even a Triad who’s at War with the Rastas? LOL

I would just be happy with a rich beutifull woman who would be able too put up with me - any takers …please
little skank ****s no respect !
Sorry to hear about that Jon… My internet connection went down before I could reply last nite too, but not cos of Rastas
Sky are Cnuts - They’ll always perscribe a call-out 'cos they are not trained to “Problem Solve” over the phone. My Sky+ box lost the signal @ the start of the year & they wanted to send someone out for 100euros… same kinda ****. I said no & looked up on the Net how to reset the box and hey presto - It worked again.
Any chance of picking up the bits in B&Q or somewhere and repairing it all yourself? If I lived local I’d do it for you. You should be able to find out how to do everything on the Net if its complicated. Fcuk paying them anything. Not worth it IMO.
Its a hard one. In spite of Internet Bravado - like, “Kick his ***!!” - You’ve got to live there. I think regardless of what happens Diplomacy is the key to not making the situation worse, whatever you decide to do.
How old is the Kid Jon & whats he like?
Was it a one off bit of Summer tomfoolery or is it proper ASBO behaviour?

to be fair the kid that did it is only about 6 maybe 7 at most i’ve managed to figure out most of the wires but its trying to get a full speed connection that pisses me at the moment. i pay around £80 a month to sky and all im getting now is the speed of free broadband lol.
