Wordpress Editing

Hi Folks, hope your all having a good day

I have been putting together a website for myself, a place to keep all my mixes, bio etc instead of just Soundcloud and have chosen to go with Wordpress. I have used Wordpress before but never really delved into editing the CSS and changing the colours of text etc.

I’ve had a quick look… all afternoon actually and can’t find the bit that i need to edit anywhere. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Thanks.

That video is a really, really old version of wordpress… dont know if things have changed since then so having a scour on t’interweb myself now and just looking at that last link you put

think you need to actually edit the theme page/code.

this should give you a rough idea of what you’re looking to do.

my best suggestion though is to find a theme that you like and go with that.

HOUSEJAK who hosts your site? I have a site but didnt know about wordpress until a few weeks ago and want to use it but my hosting package dosent support SQL databases - costs a bit extra for it so am interested to know before I make the jump. Cheers

I use Media Temple and have done for all my hosting since day 1! There a fantastic hosting company and offer you a lot for your money

Never experience any type of downtime either (unless scheduled)… there just ace!

turns out my host now offer sql to new customer at the same price! will be giving them a call tomorrow and hopefully they will change it.

How did u find wordpress to use? pretty easy? your page is looking pretty good with sound cloud intergrated. Does word press allow you to do all that?

Yeah, Wordpress is a brilliant piece of kit. I have been dabbling with it for a few years now but never really in too much depth but, today had a break through with getting things near enough exactly how i want them on my site.

The WYSIWYG editor on it is the best that i have come across and yeah, Soundcloud links, you just click on share on Soundcloud and then put that code into your post or page its really simple

Glad ya liking the site!

Sorry, forgot to ask which host are you with at the moment?
