…I’ve been going to this beach near my home for about 7 years now, and come to discover today that now what is clearly labeled “PUBLIC ACCESS” to the beach now goes along with a $10 fee for parking your car, which last year, was FREE. It was FREE because it was PUBLIC ACCESS and is still labeled as such.
I don’t know what or who is responsible, but these people will stop at NOTHING until every last dollar has been stolen and every last amenity that makes someone happy on the most basic level is DENIED…
What a ***cing travesty…

Yes, that does sound annoying. But you should count your blessings. This is my local beach. Not only is it sh!t, it also has Will Self on it!
What is “will self”?

Same here in Scheveningen… But we have good public transport (although very full on good days) and just 15 minutes cycling
I would LOVE to cycle, but honestly Wouter, the people around this area drive like psychopaths on a mission to kill. I mean, just a couple years ago I was hit on my motorcycle by a little old lady! She had death in her eyes I tell you! Haha

Lol - Will Self is an English novelist and is the person in the picture, I was looking for a picture of the Thames Beach and this was the best I found.

Roben where the hell do you live, China?
[quote]Roben (19/06/2011)[hr]This is my beach on a particularly busy day
Then it’d be “Blighton Pier” he he
As for the Thames ‘Beach’ I was walking along south bank recently on a nice day and there were kids down playing in the ‘sand’.
No fkin way I’d let them put their hands in that murky sh!t
PS, I smell some photo shopping in that Brighton picture, no WAY the water is that blue! It’s a very definite pond green every time I’ve seen it.
There are probably dead people floating in the Thames from way back in the 1400s I’d say, hmmm?

They normally write “Public Access” in special paint that only flashers can see.
You’ve handed yourself in Jamie FFS!
Isn’t that where the Mods and the Rockers had their weekend brawl back in the 1960s that made the beach look like Normandy after all was said and done?

You must have been there on a good day usually its a greyish brown colour
And fear not Jamie we rarely get hot days like that in the photo
Haha! What does that mean I’ve handed myself in? Meaning, I’ve left myself open to being made fun of by all you wankers over there? Hahahaha:D:P

Yep my dad used to go - he was a mod btw - god rest his soul - not sure he got involved in the fighting, not really his sort of thing
Yeah I probably wouldn’t have been a mod, as they were 10x more psychotic than the rockers ever were. I mean, for Pete’s sake, look at Keith Moon!
