Your location, and Music genre

Just thought i’d put out a feeler to see where you guys are based and what music you like and are producing.

I used to dj hard house in london from age 17 to 21 and after having a 4 year break i am going to now try producing hard house and trancey stuff. I also love indie\rock and metal with bloc party being one of my favourite artists. I have produced 3 tracks years ago, 2 with an engineer and 1 with a duo who now have releases all over the scene and do live shows as well as djing.

i’m from herts originally but now live in bedfordshire so it would be cool if anyone live in beds\herts\cambs who could share similar interests and\or tips

Hah, I used to live in Dunstable! Where in Beds are you?

I’m in Australia at the moment, move back to NZ this weekend.

Styles are all over the place, I just don’t like pop, R&B or this new breed of gangsta rap nonsense.

No way?!?! i live in langford which is a small village i doubt you have heard of it. But it’s not too far from biggleswade, henlow, shefford kind of way you may of heard of one of those.

I’ve been getting back into my hardcore recently and still have a love for funky house, although i have been out of touch with it for quite a while now.

hi all I have lived in cornwall for three years and am moving back home to portobello rd west london this saturday ( CANT WAIT).

music genres thats a hard one really theres so many good styles atm .

breaks/techno /minimal / industrial rock/ are mostly on my pod but production wise quite dark rhythmic techno !

@ Matt - hah, I indeed know there.

Where in Herts you from, I used to date a girl from Berkhampstead many many moons ago.

hey im living in melbourne australia any other ppl from australia on sonic? but in

1 months time im going to the czech republic thats my home country going there

for holiday but might even stay there for a while and im into all trance.

i live in king’s lynn Norfolk (hate the place) trying to produce mostly tech styles of Trance, House.

@bouffont - i’m from Cheshunt, which is near hertford. or you could say enfield which is closer to london for comparison too.

@jon fisher - i work just south of cambridge so not too far from kings lynn i guess. i’ve seen adverts for it on trains a while back trying to boost tourism there

Lol they need to give you money to promote tourism to here hahaha once i get happier with my own production and get my license sorted out it might be worth hooking up for a colab or two

hehe nice one, same boat re production with me mate. would love to hook up sometime and see how the knowledge appears when 2 minds meet!

just spoke to digital village and am hoping to go to the camb store friday lunchtime as they are expecting the bx5a m audios in stock so will give them a test drive then and hopefully walk away with them too
