Dunno about those Delay FX above. The King Dubby is probably the best. The Space Echo Emulation has a load of hiss in it every 10sec’s & tbh… you cant enjoy using it to find out if its any good or not. Dissapointing.
But this Shakepad is very interesting from a filter / spot FX or sound design POV.

cheers icn :), i suppose another option would be to download the demo have a play with it and create your own effect chains in ableton saving some cash along the way:). but it looks a very cool vst
Only downside to it as far as I can see is that its not too tweakable. Which is probably cool - kinda limiting… but you cant really make it sound different to what it sounds like.
Still - getting some crazy sh!t from it. It throws out noise every 10sec. I kinda like it! LOL
Love the X/Y - Thats what the Logic Plugs are missing. Thats what I love most about Live - the FX. They’re great. Sound brilliant from the get go. Theres a little more tweaking needed in Logic. But what can you do?
Heres a tip that has just come to me while doing something here.
Lots of people probably do it - but its just dawned on me. Maybe it might help you:
I’ve a track here that I’m working on, a 2 Note Synth thing with a longish release & a single Tom are hitting at the same time.
So, I bussed the tom to another channel.
Muted the Output & Called it Tom SC. This is now a Sidechain ready signal, which you will not hear.
Stuck a Compressor on the Synth Channel & lightly Sidechained it with the Tom SC.
Makes the right difference. You can hear the Tom & it doesnt get totally drowned out, which I what I need.
good tip man, ill be honest i never do this and should!! all i ever sidechain is a bassline or synth but never anything else. need to experiment more! :)
I first tried it a couple of days ago.
Sending a Snare as a SC trigger to Duck some Delayed hats. The hat pattern was in an odd time signature, looping over 32bars, so it was sometimes hitting too close to the snare.
Worked for that, so I tried it again… Sounds grand.
